BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Wednesday shared his party’s vision for a future Bangladesh governed by a national government, emphasizing the need to harness the power of national unity.<\/p>\nTarique criticized the current partisan government, highlighting how a single party’s dominance has marginalized others, depriving the nation of valuable contributions from a significant portion of its population.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that the BNP seeks to avoid repeating past mistakes, particularly the failure to utilize national unity after independence.<\/p>\n
Addressing BNP grassroots leaders and activists from Dhaka Division, Tarique outlined the importance of including those who fought to restore democracy in the governance of the country.<\/p>\n
He stressed the significance of forming a national government that would involve individuals from various fields who are eager to contribute to the nation’s development.<\/p>\n
Tarique also proposed the establishment of a bicameral parliament to allow scholars, professionals, and experts who are not traditionally involved in politics to participate in governance. He argued that such a reform would enable the country to benefit from their expertise.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Tarique urged BNP leaders and activists to remain vigilant against any disruptive elements and to continue aligning with the people’s hopes and expectations.
